SUMMARY OF POSITION: This position requires the associate to learn multiple positions and learn how to operate various machines. The Operator will be assigned a primary machine on which to work depending on production needs. May be re-assigned daily to fill vacancies due to absenteeism, scheduled vacations, and production needs to meet customer requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time. Training on-the-job to use caliper, micrometer, comparator & other measuring equipment to test tolerances, dimensions, quality of material, etc as required by customer specifications Sorting and packaging parts Shipping and receiving product in accordance with shipping and receiving requirements including, but not limited to shipping documentation, data entry, and validation of part and quantity to be shipped or received. Inspect material for quantity, quality, type, etc. and ensure bills of lading are correct as well as following the incoming receiving guidelines including receipt into system Completes & maintain all required paperwork Check quantity, type, size, part numbers, dimensions, etc. to properly identify materials Responsible for adherence to all company/departmental policies and procedures related to safety and conduct. SUMMARY QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or abilities required. Strong work ethic and must be able to keep up in a fast-paced environment Regular attendance is required; punctual, dependable Good math skills, basic reading & writing skills. Good computer skills with Microsoft Office experience preferred Strong attention to detail.
