Enrichment Specialist - Children & Young Adults

If you have a heart for service and a talent for designing engaging activities, we want to hear from you.Day in the LifeThe Resident Enrichment specialist will be responsible for developing and facilitating recreational, educational, and social programs to improve the well-being and engagement of our residents, ages 2-25. This role is vital in fostering a positive, supportive environment where residents feel valued and connected.Schedule:Full-time, 32-36 hours per weekSee yourself making a difference each day - Watch a Day in the Life of a Resident and experience the impact of your care in action.How This Position Contributes to Our MissionPlan, organize, and implement enrichment activities tailored to residents' abilities, interests, and needs.Coordinate special events, group outings, and holiday celebrations to enhance residents' social experiences.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support residents' physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being.Manage the budget for enrichment activities, ensuring efficient use of resources.Train and supervise volunteers assisting with enrichment programs.Skills and QualificationsMinimum of a high school diploma; Associate's degree or higher preferred.Experience in activity coordination, social services, or therapeutic recreation is highly desirable.Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Creativity and enthusiasm for planning engaging activities.Strong ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.Experience working with children and young adults with complex medical, developmental, or emotional needs preferred.CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain).What You'll Receive as a Valued Member of Home of the InnocentsComprehensive benefits package (Medical, Dental, Vision, AD&D, and Life).Generous leave time.401(k) with employer match.Professional development and training opportunities.Supportive team environment dedicated to improving lives.Who We AreAs we approach our 150th anniversary, Home of the Innocents stands as one of Louisville's longest-serving non-profit organizations.
