The STEM Innovation Specialist collaborates with a team of knowledgeable educational professionals to advance standards-aligned STEM implementation and coherent, cross-curricular learning across science, mathematics, computer science, data science, and computational thinking. This role also serves as a Learning and Leadership Solutions concierge for a Chester County school district, working in partnership with district leaders to identify needs, coordinate supports, and connect schools with CCIU services. The STEM Innovation Specialist develops, coordinates, and facilitates innovative educational programming in support of the CCIU, public and non-public schools, and community partners across Chester County and beyond. This person will contribute to a team that supports schools and districts in interdisciplinary STEM and computer science and focus in the areas of science math, and career-readiness.This position's primary job function is to leverage innovative instructional practices and a STEM mindset to support schools and districts in planning and implementing interdisciplinary STEM programming, resources, tools, and curriculum. This person will take an active role in leading CCIU programs and services such as science leadership groups, the STEM Innovation Lending Library, STEM network groups, science and STEM professional learning, and social media. This person will also support the implementation of STEM networking, educational technology, robotics, design thinking, and esports. The STEM Innovation Specialist is a life-long learner with a background in science, integrative STEM education, new technologies, professional learning models, and evidence-based strategies and who is motivated to share this passion with all students and educators in Chester County and beyond. Strong organizational, problem solving, and collaborative skills are required for successful delivery of duties and responsibilities.Essential Duties and Program Responsibilities:Oversee the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of STEM programs and services.Provide project management support for STEM and CS-related services and projects to ensure high-quality implementation and collection of impact data.Develop and deliver STEM services to support students and educators in Chester County and beyond.Provide leadership and expertise in the area of STEM innovations and develop professional learning experiences (face to face, synchronous, asynchronous, hybrid) in the areas of Next Generation Science Standards, STEM, design thinking, PBL, science, computer science, career readiness and math.Collaborate with other regional and statewide agencies for the planning and delivery of professional learning relating to educational innovations.Present at local, regional, and national conferences.Remain current with, adapt to, and learn new developments in educational innovations in educational technology, personalized learning, STEM, computer science, math, career readiness etc. and effectively implements educational innovations in order to model best instructional practices.Lead CCIU professional learning network groups, program planning, training sessions, and summit or conference planning.Assist with grant writing and research.Assist with curriculum review and/or development cycles as well as standards roll-out and implementation.Support the creation of content to share with community stakeholders through various social media platforms.Serve as a Learning and Leadership Solutions concierge, providing high-quality customer service by interpreting district needs and coordinating instructional resources, professional learning, and supports to extend interdisciplinary STEM learning experiences for all learners.Education and ExperienceBachelor's DegreeMinimum of five years of teaching experience or other related educational experience in a STEM area, preferably scienceTeaching Certification preferred (preferably science or K-8)Salary Range (2025-26 SY):Project Staff, Level 14$66,649 - $83,311 annually** Placement on band is based on years of direct experience in a comparable role.
