Role: Product Design and Development - Materials Designer 2 Location and/or time zone: Beaverton OR Reason for opening: Capability Building (Project Support) Organization: JRD Design CMCS Team details & who they will work with: Kids & Core Color & Materials Design, Global Jordan. CORE: Client everyday consumer brand, consumers who buy product for quality and long term. usage, not trend buyers Desired Candidate Profile: ● Minimum required years of experience: 2+ YOE in Footwear Materials Design ● Education requirements: ● Must have skills: ○ Experience with Kids (grade school, preschool) and CORE business (entry level into the brand, bigger accounts but lower end price points) ○ Has a strong sense of materials cost margins and how to drive value at a lower cost for materials ● MUST include Portfolios ○ Understanding of the CORE consumer, storytelling, their part in the design process or who their partners were ● Nice to have skills: ○ Knowledge of seasonal gates has set up product. materials numbers ○ Experience with Leathers - genuine leather, synthetic leather, able to identity and understand their differences, ○ Knowledge of materials duties (import taxes) ● Software/technical requirements: ○ CLO, Viscom, Adobe, CAD, ● Previous Client/industry experience preference: Yes
