If being a caregiver is right for you, please apply.Primary ResponsibilitiesCompanionship and conversationPersonal Care (assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, bathroom needs, feeding)Light Housekeeping/Household Management (incl. laundry and linen changing)Apparel selection (i.e. laying out clothes)Meal planning and preparationMedication remindersMobility support (standby assist, transfer, hoyer lift)Transportation using own or client’s vehicleHelping family members learn safe care techniquesTolerance to small pets (i.e. dogs and/or cats)QualificationsAbility to treat clients with dignity and respectAbility to read, write, and speak English at an average adult level and interpret the Plan of Care Document provided by Senior HelpersSpanish speakers welcomed; se habla EspañolAbility to drive is preferredAbility to use public transportation to get to workValid US issued driver’s license with no serious driving violationsAbility to be flexible and adapt to new situationsPass a criminal background check prior to employment with Senior HelpersPrior experience with dementia patients and senior care, a plus, but not requiredMust be able to be reached via phone oremail for shift schedules, client updates and/or emergenciesCompetitive payMinimum shifts are 4 hoursEmployment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening. Testing includes, but is not limited to, amphetamines, methamphetamines, cocaine, opiates (including morphine), and benzodiazepines.
