Job Full Description Welder / Fabricator (Structural Steel) - 4-Day Work Week | Menomonie, WI Area Location: Near Menomonie, WI Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Fridays optional for overtime) Pay: $22.00+/hour (based on experience) Build Something Real - And See It Stand (Not Just Another Welding Job) A client of ours in the Dunn County / Menomonie area is looking to add a Welder / Fabricator (structural steel / manufacturing) to their team. This is not assembly-line work - this is hands-on fabrication where you'll read blueprints, cut raw material, and bring structural steel projects to life. What You'll Do Perform welding and fabrication on structural and miscellaneous steel components Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings Layout, measure, cut, and process raw materials for fabrication Operate equipment such as torches, grinders, and welding tools (MIG/TIG/stick) Assist with forklift operation and material handling Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Support production needs in a manufacturing / construction-style environment This is a hands-on role requiring standing, lifting, and working with steel materials throughout the shift What We're Looking For Experience in welding, fabrication, or manufacturing (2+ years preferred; we will train the right candidate with strong work ethic) Ability to read a tape measure and blueprints Comfortable with physical work and heavy lifting Self-motivated with a strong work ethic Open to candidates with backgrounds such as: Welder / Fabricator Structural Welder TIG Welder / MIG Welder Welding Apprentice or Fabricator Apprentice Manufacturing or Construction trades What You'll Get 4-day work week (3-day weekends most weeks) Consistent hours with optional overtime on Fridays Competitive pay starting at $22/hour+ Full benefits upon hire including: Health insurance with HSA 401(k) with profit sharing Paid vacation Holiday pay (after 90 days) All PPE provided (other than steel-toe boots) Why This Role Stands Out This is a shop where your work doesn't disappear into a conveyor belt.
