Position Details: Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist Location: Rochester, NY Hours: Day shift, Mon-Fri (some overtime possible) Pay: $22-27/hr Duration:.3 months Who We're Looking For: The primary responsibility of the Supplier Quality Assurance Technician is to assist in managing the inspection and NCMR process for all parts/components involved with the manufacturing process. This includes performing incoming inspections, disposition parts and regular communications internally and possibly external. This position works closely with both supplier quality engineers and manufacturing engineers to help maintain and report on supplier quality issues. What to Expect: Position Summary: Supplier Quality Assurance Technician will shadow a mentor and assist the mentor in managing the inspections and NCMR process for all parts/components involved in the digital manufacturing process. Will communicate with external suppliers. Will work closely wtih both supplier quality engineers and manufacturing engineers to help maintain and report on supplier quality issues. Position Responsibilities: * Inspections. Aid in creation and editing revisions of incoming inspection procedures to assure high quality products are received. * Disposition parts * Follow work instructions and ability to read prints/drawings * Use micrometer, various hand measurement tools, vernier, pin gauges, etc. * Heavily use MS Excel, email and SAP (ERP); Master Control * Create Discrepant Material Reports * Track and maintain calibration of measuring equipment * Maintain quality records and participate in quality audits as needed * Notify internal engineering staff of non-conformances detected and reports on corrective actions from suppliers. * all other tasks as requested Required Skills & Education: * HS Diploma or GED and a combination of at least 2+ years of experience or education in engineering or manufacturing, ideally for parts inspection and quality. * experience following written work instructions * Must have experience using a micrometer and hand measurement tools (no time to teach for this contract position) * Strong user of MS Excel * Excellent written and verbal Engligh communication skills * Attention to detail, always seeking 100% accuracy with two step verification process Desired Skills: * 2+ years of demonstrated testing and inspection experinece * SAP * Master Control * Ability to read prints and drawings Work Environment: Office, Receiving, Labs, Manufacturing Physical Requirements: Dexterity Excellent vision Datrose is an equal opportunity employer.
