Sales Engineer Preferred In-Office | Remote Considered | $100,000 base + commission (OTE $150,000)A growing accounting software company is looking for a Sales Engineer who blends bookkeeping expertise with the communication skills of a natural relationship-builder. You'll be the technical backbone of the sales team - handling complex demos, translating workflows into solutions, and helping prospects see exactly how the product fits their business.What You'll DoPartner with the Account Executive throughout the sales process to support and close dealsLead deep-dive product demos tailored to complex client needs and workflowsTranslate bookkeeping and accounting workflows into clear, compelling product valueServe as the go-to resource for prospects with technical or process-related questionsIdentify client pain points and architect solutions using the product's capabilitiesProvide feedback to the product team based on patterns you're seeing in the fieldWhat We're Looking ForMust Have:3+ years of bookkeeping experience, ideally within e-commerceStrong understanding of accounting workflows and how businesses manage their booksExceptional communication skills - you can explain complex concepts simply and confidentlyComfortable in a client-facing, consultative roleNatural collaborator who thrives working as part of a two-person sales teamNice to Have:Prior experience in a sales engineering, solutions consulting, or pre-sales roleFamiliarity with accounting software platforms (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.)Experience working with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Amazon, etc.)Why This RoleUnique blend of your financial expertise and client-facing impactCompetitive base ($100K) plus commission with OTE of $150KWork alongside a strong Account Executive - you're a team, not a solo actBe part of a product that genuinely simplifies life for business owners
