JOB DESCRIPTIONACRM is searching for a Permanent, Full-Time Front Office Account Representative to assist our patients in our Perimeter office. There is also the opportunity to float to other locations/positions during normal business hours for coverage purposes.This position's schedule is 6:15am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday.The Front Office Account Representative is often times the first person that patients will see and is responsible for creating a positive experience that makes all patients feel welcome. The Front Office Account Representative is also responsible for reading and understanding insurance verifications, collecting payment for services rendered, explaining payment responsibility to patient and ensuring insurance company and patient are billed correctly.ESSENTIAL DUTIESGreets and receives visitors in a warm and professional manner; Answers phones and provides answers to calls or refers them to the appropriate staffChecks patients into practice and maintains office flowMaintains cleanliness and order of lobby itemsReviews all paperwork for completion, consents and accuracyBalances credit card machineMaintains 6-day report, charge audit report, Finance report, patient image report, and refund report on a daily and weekly basis.Maintains additional reports as needed.Identifies and explains patient balance to patientsAnalyzes chart to take any adjustments or insurance discountsCollects payments, reads and understands alerts in the system and insurance verificationNotifies finance team of any changes in insuranceScans paperwork into the systemCollects payments, reads and understands alerts in the system and insurance verificationOther duties as assignedRequirementsRequirementsPREREQUISITE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATION• High School Diploma/Associates Degree requiredMinimum 1-2 years of customer service experience - Medical office experience preferredMust be able to communicate clearly and effectivelyExcellent attendance and punctuality commitmentExcellent customer service skills requiredProficient in Microsoft OfficeMust be detailed oriented with ability to multi-task and work independentlyPHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS• Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time• Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other office equipment• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance• Ability to push, bend, pull and twist•
