RN - part-time (Family Planning Dept.)

Community Health Center of Buffalo (CHCB) Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) The Community Health Center of Buffalo (CHCB) is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Family Planning Department. The RN will deliver nursing care under the supervision of the Family Planning Medical Provider. Responsibilities: Provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses and Medical Assistants. Triage patient phone calls and visits. Offer case management and care to patients requiring nurse-only visits. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment. Assist Medical Providers with examinations and procedures. Perform routine diagnostic tests and collect/process specimens. Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers. Review lab results and report abnormal findings. Manage supplies for patient rooms and participate in quality improvement activities. Communicate effectively with patients and staff. Maintain the integrity of medical records and provide patient education. Qualifications: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York. Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Minimum of one year experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting. Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Three years of experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting. Experience with an Electronic Medical Record System. Experience working in Family Planning is a plus. Physical Demands: This role requires periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stooping. Some evening work may be required. Salary Range: $32.87/hr. - $39.68/hr.
