Who Should Apply? • Professionals who thrive in higher education and institutional settings • Project managers experienced in lab, academic, or complex renovation environments • Engineers, Architects, GCs, and CMs looking to step into an Owner’s Representative role • Owner’s Representatives looking for a Firm that treats them as a partner instead of a number • Candidates who enjoy working across diverse stakeholder groups and navigating complex decision-making environments What is a Team GSD Member? • Brings an entrepreneurial mindset a knack for innovation and adaptability • Communicates effectively across diverse stakeholder groups (faculty, facilities, leadership, vendors) • Accountable: owns it and delivers it • Respects teammates, partners, and clients • Approaches challenges with a solution-oriented mindset • Holds a high bar for quality and accountability Why Himes? • Competitive compensation • Fully paid medical coverage • Growth-based incentive plans • 401(k) with company match • Flexible PTO and work-life balance • Respectful, collaborative culture • High-visibility, meaningful projects • Autonomy with the support you need to succeed What to Expect in this Role As an Owner’s Representative supporting academic and research lab projects, you will: • Serve as the central point of coordination between university stakeholders, design teams, and contractors • Navigate complex stakeholder environments, including faculty, facilities, administration, and end users • Lead project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management xywuqvp from concept through closeout • Coordinate design and construction in active campus and occupied research environments • Manage procurement strategies, including lab equipment, FF&E, and specialized systems • Oversee submittals, RFIs, change management, and project documentation • Facilitate project meetings and drive alignment across multiple decision-makers • Track cost, schedule, and risk while maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders Minimum Qualifications • BS/BA in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field (preferred) • Proven ability to deliver complex projects on time, within budget, and aligned with stakeholder expectations • Experience working in higher education, institutional, or research environments strongly preferred • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
