Welder We are seeking a skilled welder who will specialize in MIG welding and fabrication on components. The ideal candidate will read blueprints and take projects from start to finish, including fitting and welding custom jobs as well as engaging in production welding. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding and fabrication on various components. Read and interpret blueprints to guide the welding process from start to finish. Fit and weld on custom projects as well as engage in production welding. Essential Skills 2+ years of experience in MIG welding. 2+ years of fabrication experience. 2+ years of experience in blueprint reading. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with press brake. Ability to use a tape measure effectively. Understanding of fitting and flux core welding. Familiarity with different types of steel. Openness to greener candidates with some MIG and fabrication experience, as training on processes will be provided. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a 10-person shop with a collaborative atmosphere. The position operates on a 1st shift from 6:00am to 3:00pm with flexibility, typically involving 9-hour days and optional 5-hour Saturdays. Initially, candidates will work a straightforward 40-hour week. Job Type & Location This is a contract position based out of Racine, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
