Assembler Class 3 - Kansas Garsite Job Category: Airport Operations Requisition Number: ASSEM015989 Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00 AM-4:30PM, Occasional Saturdays (Overtime 3:30PM/4:30PM) Pay: $28.09 per hour Location: Kansas City, KS 66105, USA Description The Assembler Class 3 plays a vital role in the assembly of airport ground support equipment. In this position, you will be working with mechanical systems and following technical manuals and schematics. You will be responsible for ensuring precision and quality in your assembly work. Responsibilities Ability to read and interpret automotive blueprints and subassembly prints Proficient use of a tape measure for accurate measurements Skill in chassis layout and drilling holes to specifications Installation of Power Take-Off (PTO) systems and drive shafts Reading and comprehension of Bills of Materials (BOM) Ability to assemble units accurately according to blueprints Completion of confined space training Proper torquing of bolts to specification Exemplifying PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards Perform any additional duties as assigned by management Qualifications 18 years of age or older Eligible to work in the United States Must provide their own hand tools Must have a valid state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking) Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means Pass a background check and drug screen Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable) Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential requirement satisfactorily.
