Chief Nursing Officer

Smaller community hospital part of a system looking to bring on Chief Nursing Officer! Bonus Incentives and Relocation! Under the general supervision of the hospital CEO is responsible for organizing and administering the Department of Clinical Services at the hospital and implementing standards of care, policies, programs, and procedures as established by the company. Responsibilities include ensuring timely, accurate, and complete documentation, ensuring all clinical regulatory requirements are being met, and responsibility for employee engagement, recruitment and retention. Direct reports: 9 total, includes (1) Nurse Manager, (1) Hospital Educator, (1) Infection Prevention/Employee Health, (6) Nurse Supervisors Departments reporting to the CNO: Nursing and Respiratory Therapy; have one RT who reports directly to Nurse Manager who reports to CNO Nurse manager & supervisors: 1 Nurse Manager, works M-F daylight (typically) 6 Nurse Supervisors One is strictly day/evening weekends One is strictly nights M-F One is strictly nights weekends 2 are shared M-F evenings (they work one week evening supervisors and one week floor nurse) 1 is daylight nurse supervisor but works in a different role with specialized responsibilities Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing. 5+ years experience in inpatient hospital experience. 2+ years recent (within the last 5 years) Nursing Management experience with responsibilities include such as 24-hour accountability, FTE management, policy, procedure, and budgetary oversight, and conducting disciplinary action. BLS required. ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
