About the Organization Seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist: Assisting people experiencing homelessness, this nonprofit has assisted almost 100,000 people transition into housing Founded over 30 years ago in Massachusetts, they now have operations in all six New England States They offer a variety of services including transitional care, long-term programs, and employment training Grants comprise a majority of their income, so attention to detail is key for the Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities for the Accounts Payable Specialist: Working alongside another AP Specialist, upload invoices sent to the AP Inbox Process payments through ACH and reconcile with the general ledger Handle credit card payments, as needed Answer internal and external queries about accounts payable Assist the Accounting Department with the month- and year-end closes Background Expected of the Accounts Payable Specialist: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or experience equivalent (+4 years) 3+ years of experience in an accounts payable role Proficiency with Sage Intacct is a major plus Schedule & Work Environment: 100% on-site, Monday through Friday (5 days in office).
