Join our pediatric-focused SLP team delivering evidence-based speech therapy in a hospital outpatient setting while supporting adult inpatient and outpatient care. Ideal pediatric SLP, hospital SLP, and travel therapy candidates wanted for this 13-week Ohio travel SLP job. Job Details Location: Urbana, Ohio (43078) — near Dayton and Columbus Position: Hospital Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Outpatient Pediatrics focus (90% pediatrics, 10% adult inpatient/outpatient) Employment Type: Travel Contract (13 weeks) Start Date: March 23, 2026 End Date: June 20, 2026 Schedule: 4 x 10-hour day shifts per week (Wednesday off) — 40 hours/week Average Caseload: 12–14 patients per day Setting: Hospital-based outpatient pediatrics with opportunities to treat adult swallowing/language/cognition cases On-site: This is an on-site hospital SLP position in Ohio Estimated Weekly Salary: $1730–$1860/week Required Qualifications Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active Ohio SLP license in good standing (or conditional license under a supervised Professional Experience Plan approved by the Ohio Board) ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred Current CPR certification Minimum 1 year of clinical experience; pediatric caseload experience required (articulation, language delays, childhood apraxia of speech, AAC) Experience with adult dysphagia, language, or cognition is a plus Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred Preferred training: Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) and VitalStim Key Responsibilities Provide evaluation, individualized treatment planning, and evidence-based speech-language therapy for pediatric and adult patients Conduct standardized and non-standardized assessments and interpret results for diagnosis and therapy planning Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members Treat a variety of pediatric diagnoses including autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, developmental language disorders, and childhood apraxia of speech Provide therapy and compensation strategies for adult patients with CVA, dementia, and cognitive-communication disorders Perform bedside swallow screening/clinical swallow evaluations for inpatient cases (typically straightforward cases) Recommend and train on AAC, assistive devices, and home programs; participate in discharge planning Monitor patient progress, document outcomes in the EMR, and adjust plans of care as needed Contribute to clinical education, staff development, and continuous process improvement initiatives Maintain a positive, collaborative, patient-centered approach within the hospital team Why Join Our Team Work in a supportive hospital environment with a strong pediatric outpatient focus Opportunities for professional development and clinical mentorship Experience a friendly community with easy access to Dayton and Columbus Apply now: If you are a licensed SLP seeking a hospital-based pediatric travel SLP job in Ohio, submit your resume and licensure information.
