Job Summary St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church and School is seeking a caring and responsible Aftercare Aide to support students during the after-school program. The Aftercare Aide helps provide a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that reflects Christian values while supervising students at the end of the school day. Key Responsibilities Supervise students during aftercare hours to ensure safety and well-being Assist with dismissal, snacks, homework time, and structured play activities Maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment Support appropriate student behavior using consistent expectations Communicate effectively with aftercare staff, teachers, and parents as needed Ensure cleanliness and organization of aftercare spaces Follow all school policies, procedures, and safety guidelines Model respectful behavior and Christian values in all interactions Support the mission and values of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church and School Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Experience working with children preferred Ability to supervise students indoors and outdoors Strong communication and interpersonal skills Dependable, patient, and flexible Practicing Catholic preferred; all candidates must support the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church The Archdiocese of St. Louis is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
