Project Scheduler in the New Albany, OH, location | New Albany, Ohio, United States Indotronix is seeking a Project Scheduler in the New Albany, OH, location Job Title: Project Scheduler Location: New Albany, OH Duration:12+ Months Description: M-F, Minimal OT as needed. Job designation is Onsite, requiring 5 days a week in the office. Schedule: 5 (8hrs) or 4 (9hrs) plus 4 hrs. on Friday. Knowledge of P6 is required. Scheduling experience in utilities or construction management preferred. Local candidates in the Columbus or New Albany areas. The manager will not consider candidates who require relocation due to the quick turnaround on the start date. Role Overview This position supports the client's Competitive Transmission Projects team, coordinating the scope of work activities and providing direct support to Project Managers. With some supervision, this role performs scheduling and/or commodity tracking functions for major projects. Responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and analyzing a less complex scope of work schedules using assigned systems (e.g., Primavera P6), providing integrated cost and resource loaded schedules when applicable, maintaining schedule data, collecting progress updates, generating schedule/status reports, and delivering consistent, accurate information to project execution teams. Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities: Scope & Schedule Development: -Define activities, durations, work sequences, and logic required to develop accurate scope of work plans. -Identify and incorporate key milestones representing major decisions and deliverables. -Ensure all scope elements and deliverables are fully captured within the schedule. Schedule Management & Analysis: -Develop, maintain, and analyze project schedules using Primavera P6. -Organize and lead schedule review meetings with stakeholders and incorporate updates as needed. -Document clear meeting minutes and action items where required. -Provide ongoing schedule status updates, highlighting risks, critical paths, and impacts to major milestones. -Communicate schedule information effectively to project stakeholders. Standards, Governance & Best Practices: -Understand and support adherence to client's project management organizational standards. -Follow guidance set forth by the client Project Management Governance Committee. -Learn and refine scheduling techniques and best practices to support baselining, progress updating, metric tracking, development of commodity curves, and routine support to project/outage teams. Systems & Administrative Support: -Work with system administrators to assign user roles, security, and profiles. -Provide periodic summary level reports as requested. -Maintain routine communication and coordination with project teams to ensure accurate schedule data. Minimum Requirements Education Qualified degrees must be from an accredited institution in Accounting, Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Technology, or Project Management. Associate degree + 3 years of qualified experience Bachelor's degree + 1 year of qualified experience Experience: Qualified experience includes: -Utility operations knowledge with a strong understanding of work processes and procedures -Experience in design, operations, planning, project management, cost tracking analysis, forecasting, project budgeting, accounting principles, and/or construction . Other Requirements: -Strong time management, organizational, and planning skills; high attention to detail; ability to meet goals independently. -Effective written and verbal communication skills. -Strong team orientation with the ability to work collaboratively. -Self motivated and capable of working under general supervision while independently performing scheduling functions. -Must understand and support the client's policies, values, principles, structure, and behaviors.
