D.C. Fabricators is seeking a talented Facilities Manager to join our team. This is an on-site position reporting to our manufacturing facility in Florence, NJ. Whether you’re coordinating facility operations or supporting production teams on the shop floor, you’ll collaborate across departments to maintain safe, efficient, and well-maintained facilities that support successful manufacturing operations. Essential Duties of the Facilities Manager: • Lead and manage maintenance personnel across three shifts to ensure continuous facility and equipment support for manufacturing operations. • Supervise, train, and manage maintenance personnel including hiring, performance management, and disciplinary actions. • Plan, schedule, and direct daily work assignments to ensure manufacturing equipment and facilities operate efficiently and cost-effectively. • Coordinate and oversee corrective and preventive maintenance activities across facility infrastructure and equipment. • Maintain facility records and documentation related to maintenance, inspections, and compliance. • Coordinate and manage facility projects including new construction, renovations, repairs, and equipment installations. • Initiate and execute projects that improve facility efficiency, safety, and effective use of available space. • Provide input and support execution of the annual Capital Expenditure budget. • Coordinate emergency repairs and ensure rapid response to facility-related issues. • Work closely with Safety and Environmental personnel to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state and local regulations. • Coordinate employee safety training and enforce workplace safety policies. • Oversee contractors performing facility work including contract negotiation, scheduling, and performance monitoring. • Generate purchase requisitions and assist in preparing proposals, drawings, and specifications for facility projects. • Develop cost estimates and support project budgeting and schedule monitoring. • Coordinate with the Facility Security Officer regarding building security and surveillance systems. • Promote a safe workplace by enforcing safety policies, investigating incidents, and supporting a strong safety culture. • Perform other duties as assigned. Education & Skills Requirements: • High school diploma or trade school certification required; equivalent experience may be considered. • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment required. • Experience supervising industrial maintenance or facilities personnel in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred. • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, construction, environmental regulations, and industrial safety practices preferred. • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage complex projects and provide status updates. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail. • Must demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct in the workplace. • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments. • Excellent computer skills including working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
