PICU Nurse Practitioner

Location: Large teaching hospital in Los Angeles, CASchedule: Night Shift, 2- 3 12s. Weekends and holidays.Role/Responsibility: Covers the PICU, Stepdown PICU and PICU DOU. This position is crucial as not only does the PICU Night shift NP cover the PICU, but they are also responsible for covering the DOU (which is a NP run department with no Fellows or Residents) overnightPatients per shift: Number of patients during night shift varies - The night shift covers the PICU (16 beds) and the DOU (step down PICU which has 8 beds). The APP is the primary provider for up to 8 patients with a shared model of all patients with the PICU Attending, Fellow and Resident.Credentialing timeframe: 7-8 week timeframe for tempsWilling to license: No for NPs.
