Buyer Inventory & Import Specialist On-site | Pico Rivera, CA | Full-Time (M-F) Company Mixed Nuts, Inc. family-owned snack food manufacturer (nuts, seeds, dried fruits, trail mixes) with products in 10,000+ retail locations nationwide. Growing, stable, operations-driven CPG company. Compensation $80,000$95,000 base salary (Strong candidates at top of range expected to bring real buying and negotiation experience.) Why This Role Exists This is a true Buyer role, not an assistant. The company needs someone who can own inventory and purchasing decisions, negotiate with suppliers (domestic + overseas), manage imports, and make calculated, data-driven buying decisions tied to usage, growth, and warehouse capacity. Scope of Responsibility Full responsibility for all raw materials, including: Nuts, seeds, dried fruits Oils, salt, ingredients Packaging (bags, boxes, etc.) Inventory planning, forecasting, replenishment Supplier negotiation and relationship management Import documentation and overseas supplier communication Commodity and market analysis to inform timing and purchasing strategy What Good Looks Like A hands-on buyer who: Is Excel-strong, data-driven, and good with numbers Has negotiated pricing, MOQs, and lead times Understands commodity volatility and buying forward vs spot purchasing Has worked with overseas suppliers and imports Can balance cost, supply risk, usage trends, and warehouse constraints Ideal Background 24 years in buying, procurement, inventory planning, or supply chain Experience in food, ingredients, commodities, or CPG manufacturing Import experience + FSVP familiarity preferred ERP experience helpful but Excel proficiency is critical What This Is NOT Not an assistant buyer Not purely clerical or PO-only Not a remote or hybrid role Reporting To Director of Office Operations
