Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist St. Ann's Home & School, in Methuen, MA, is a leader in special education and residential programming, offering private day programs, child and adolescent residential services, along with a broad range of outpatient services. We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist to join our team. The Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist must have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree with at least five years prior experience. Experience may be waived if applicant's Bachelor's Degree is in accounting or a related field. The Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist must have intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office, especially with Excel. Experience with SAGE/Intacct accounting system is preferred, but not required, and experience with CareLogic EHR is a plus. Must be organized, detail oriented, and efficient, with the ability to meet deadlines, to work independently and as a team, and demonstrated ability to provide professional and solution-oriented customer service. Process and manage incoming payments in compliance with financial policies, regulations and procedures. Carry out billing, collection, and reporting activities according to specific deadlines and contracts. Verify and post all accounts receivable transactions to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted. Research discrepancies and resolve clients' billing issues with strong collaboration and customer service. Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities to facilitate payment of invoices due by contacting clients and following up on invoices over 30 days. Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth billing process. In charge of reporting and billing related to The National School Lunch Program (NSLP). Work with the admissions department to ensure all necessary information is collected during admissions and discharges in support of agency invoicing. Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information. The Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and shall perform such duties as may be further assigned by the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Executive Officer or Chief Administrative Officer. This is a full time, 40 hour per week in-person position. The Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist must be able to sit for long periods of time, perform computer work for long periods of time, use the telephone frequently, and be able to communicate with other agency personnel, vendors, and state agencies via telephone and in person.
