Maintenance Electrician

Job Posting: Maintenance ElectricianPay: Up to $33-$39/hr + 9.58% shift differentialSchedule: Rotating Dupont/Swing Shift (12-hour shifts)Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to support electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities within a heavy industrial environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical diagnostic skills, experience with PLC-based systems, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, safety-focused setting.Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot ladder logic, read ladder diagrams, and identify electrical components causing equipment issues. Work with PLC5 RS Logic , performing diagnostics and system adjustments to optimize performance. Inspect and maintain proximity switches, limit switches, and variable speed drives (VSDs) to ensure reliable operation. Troubleshoot 480V AC motors , diagnose faults, and perform necessary repairs. Wire and configure 480V motors , ensuring proper installation and compliance with electrical standards. Collaborate with electricians, mechanics, and maintenance teams to resolve complex electrical issues. Qualifications Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control equipment, and fluid control mechanisms. Ability to interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and wiring layouts. Familiar with insulating materials, soldering techniques, and replacement parts management. Physically capable of completing lift tests and pulmonary function assessments. Comfortable working rotating shift schedules and mandatory overtime when required. Company Benefits 9.58% shift differential when moved to swing shift (adds approximately $3/hr ). Due to the rotation pattern, schedules do not always begin on Mondays.Example Shift Rotation: Monday - Thursday: Dayshift 7 days off Friday - Monday: Nightshift 3 days off Friday - Sunday: Dayshift 1 day off Tuesday - Thursday: Nightshift 3 days off Additional Scheduling Notes: Certain departments may follow straight day shifts ( 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM ) or rotating schedules as determined by management. Work Environment Heavy industrial environment with non-climate-controlled areas ; some zones may experience high temperatures due to equipment or outdoor climate. Strong, supportive culture emphasizing teamwork and cross-department collaboration. Required attire: steel-toe boots, hardhat, safety glasses, earplugs , and other PPE depending on department. Interview Process Candidates must complete an assessment test and score 50% or higher to advance. Qualified candidates will proceed to an onsite interview immediately following the test. Candidates receiving an offer will complete an onsite drug test the same day. Recommended interview attire: khakis, button-down shirt, steel-toe boots . Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Moncks Corner, SC.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $78000.00/yr. 9.58% shift differential once they move onto swing shift (Approximately an extra 3/hr)They can test every 6 months to test into higher tech level and get pay increase Only non-union smelter facility in the U.S 401K matches 6%.
