Warehouse Operations Coordinator The Warehouse Operations Coordinator synchronizes daily warehouse operations within the wholesale produce facility, enhancing safety, efficiency and effectiveness. Primary responsibilities include: Operations: Serve as the primary backup and support to the Operations Manager for warehouse operational activities, including inventory management, packing, repacking, ripening, distribution, and maintenance. Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements. Seek ways to reduce waste, improve quality, and enhance customer satisfaction. Shipping and Receiving: Facilitate activities related to the daily operations of inbound and outbound produce shipments, including loading and unloading trucks safety and efficiently, inspections, checking orders, safe handling, palletization, labeling, documentation, resolving discrepancies, and storage. Inventory: Support inventory counting, placement, and accurate documentation. Assist with ripening processes. Process sales orders and purchase orders. Quality Control: Manage inventory lot numbers and process photos and documentation of grower/shipper traceability information. Follow procedures to ensure quality control, consistency, and safety. Warehouse Weekends: Rotate weekends performing building opening/closing, checking on facility/coolers and loading/receiving trucks (employees only) Compliance: Comply with company, state, and federal policies, procedures and regulations. Assist with compliance documentation as requested. Operate equipment safely and efficiently in fulfilling duties. Coordinate with other applicable team members to resolve problems and meet operational objectives. Think creatively for ways to minimize costs and maximize efficiency Other duties or job description changes as requested by management Knowledge and Skills: Aptitude and willingness to learn, adapt, and serve with a positive attitude Hands on commitment to getting the job done appropriately Aptitude to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency to maintain accurate and thorough documentation Excellent problem-solving, decision-making abilities, and communication skills. Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends as needed Physical fitness for the job, including standing, bending, and lifting heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) for long periods of time and working in a refrigerated environment Ability to work efficiently, follow instructions, and adhere to safety procedures Communication and teamwork skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
