Hey there, I m currently working with a great client who is looking to bring on a Locum Dental Hygienist for a 6-month contract to cover a maternity leave. It s a solid opportunity with a steady patient flow and supportive team. Assignment Highlights: • 6-month contract (maternity leave coverage) • patients per day • Well-established clinic and organized schedule Clinical Responsibilities Include: • Periodontal charting • Oral prophylaxis • Scaling and root planing • Intra- and extraoral soft tissue examinations • Application of topical, therapeutic, and subgingival agents for caries and periodontal disease (including fluoride) • Placement of pit and fissure sealants • Subgingival irrigation with antimicrobial/antibiotic solutions • Polishing and contouring restorations • Oral exfoliative cytology • Periodontal soft tissue curettage • Administration of local anesthesia • Placement of antimicrobial or antibiotic medications not requiring removal This is a great opportunity to step into a consistent role while supporting a clinic during maternity coverage.
