The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Deltek and a strong understanding of project-based billing, government contracting requirements, and project closeout processes. This role is responsible for accurate invoices, maintaining billing schedules, ensuring compliance with contract terms, and supporting full lifecycle project accounting through closeout. This role can be performed on a remote basis.Responsibilities to Include:Prepare, review, and submit accurate and timely customer invoices in accordance with contract terms and billing requirementsManage billing activities within Deltek CostpointReview contract documents to ensure billing compliance with federal, state, and commercial guidelinesPerform detailed analysis of project costs, labor, expenses, and revenue recognitionMonitor unbilled receivables and follow up on outstanding invoices as neededCoordinate with Project Managers and Project Controls to validate billing data and resolve discrepanciesSupport and lead project closeout activities, including: final invoice preparation and submission, reconciliation of project costs and revenue, de-obligation of remaining funds, clearing unbilled balances, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliantAssist with internal and external audits as requiredMaintain accurate customer records, billing files, and supporting documentationRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and 2–4 years of relevant billing or project accounting experienceUS Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearanceExperience with Deltek CostpointProven experience in billing or a similar financial roleStrong computer skills including Excel, Outlook, and PDF document managementExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsIntermediate mathematical and analytical skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, both independently and as part of a teamPreferred Qualifications:Experience supporting government contracting environmentsKnowledge of billing compliance and contract requirementsStrong problem-solving and analytical abilitiesDemonstrated customer service mindsetExceptional attention to detail and organizational skillsTSC Benefits:TSC offers a stable work environment, a competitive salary, and a comprehensive benefit package; including Employee Stock Option Plan (ESOP) participation, 401k Plan, Flexible Work Schedules, Tuition Reimbursement, Co-Sponsored Health Plan, Paid Leave and much more.
