DescriptionObjective The Warehouse Specialist I plays a key role in supporting daily shipping operations, ensuring products are processed accurately and delivered on time. This position contributes to the overall efficiency of the warehouse by maintaining organized workflows and assisting with basic inventory control tasks. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, dependable, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Prepare, package, and label domestic/international orders in accordance with company and carrier guidelines Operate shipping systems and software to generate labels and track shipments Verify order accuracy, including quantities, part numbers, and shipping documentation Accurately prepare pallet shipments (LTL), creating Bill of Lading Assist with inventory handling, including picking, packing, and restocking as needed Consolidating or replenishing inventory when picking quantities are low Maintains accurate inventory levels and may assist in cycle counting of physical inventory Assisting Receiving Department, including unloading pallets and containerized shipments Communicate with carriers regarding pickups, delays, or delivery issues Maintains safe and organized shipping staging areas Other general warehouse duties Other duties as required Supervisory Responsibility This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Hours of work are expected to align with REI's warehouse hours, Monday - Wednesday -Friday 8am to 4:30pm Tuesday / Thursday 7am - 4:30pm. Required Education and Experience to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. High school diploma or equivalent required 1-2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Basic computer skills and familiarity with shipping software (e.g., UPS, FedEx systems) Works independently and in a collaborative team environment Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Familiarity of safety and best practices when working within manufacturing facilities Knowledge of shipping regulations and best practices Forklift operation experience; certification is preferred Ability to lift 25-50 lbs. regularly and standing, walking, and bending for extended periods Travel This position does not require travel.
