With roots dating back to 1907 and proprietary spin-forming and COPV tank manufacturing capabilities, this site supports some of the most demanding aerospace applications in the industry.This role exists to support independent CNC setup and operation for complex, flight-critical components where precision, judgment, and experience matter. The Machinist III plays a key role in production execution, process improvement, and first-article readiness.---What You’ll DoIndependently set up and operate vertical and horizontal CNC machinesApply machining theory and best practices to produce parts that meet blueprint and customer requirementsUse setup books, shop aids, and customer data to complete accurate, efficient setupsReview CNC programs, identify issues, and make manual edits to optimize feeds, speeds, and cycle timeRecognize nonconforming programs before running First Article partsWork with engineering to improve machining methods and proceduresSelect and apply proper fixtures, tooling, and cutter compensationUpdate setup books and programs with all edits, revisions, and rollover detailsDocument critical setup information to support repeatability and faster future setupsMaintain high standards for quality, safety, and productivity---Machines & ControlsVTL Machines:G&L, ShabouraCNC Machines:Vertical and horizontal mills (various aerospace-capable)---Technical Scope & ExpectationsExpert knowledge of CNC machining and blueprint interpretationStrong understanding of G-codes, M-codes, tooling, fixturing, and cutter compensationConfident reading and editing CNC programsStrong shop math and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionComfortable supporting aerospace and defense manufacturing standards---What We’re Looking ForRequiredHigh School Diploma or GED5–10 years of CNC machining experienceProven ability to independently set up CNC machinesStrong blueprint reading and inspection skillsDependable, detail-oriented, and quality-focused---Pay, Benefits & Work Environment$35–$45/hr DOEComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) retirement planPaid time off and paid holidaysClimate-controlled manufacturing environmentLong-term aerospace and spaceflight programsEqual Opportunity / E-Verify employer
