The Precision Deburring Technician plays a critical role in ensuring aerospace components meet strict blueprint specifications and quality standards before final assembly.At Crane Aerospace & Electronics, this position contributes directly to producing precision components used in aircraft braking systems and cabin actuation systems operating on thousands of aircraft worldwide.The Work You’ll Be DoingIn this role, you will:Perform precision deburring of machined aerospace components using rotary and manual toolsUse microscopes and scopes to deburr internal holes, cross sections, and tight tolerance featuresSet up and operate deburring tools according to manufacturing instructionsInspect parts to blueprint specifications to ensure quality and dimensional accuracyAdjust tooling or methods as needed to achieve proper finishes and tolerancesIdentify and report manufacturing or quality issues to the Team Leader or SupervisorMaintain safe working practices and follow PPE and safety protocolsSupport production flow by completing assigned tasks efficiently and accuratelyTools & Inspection EquipmentYou’ll work with equipment such as:Deburring Tools:Rotary deburring toolsManual hand deburring toolsMicro-tools for internal hole deburringInspection Equipment:Microscopes and scopesCalipers and precision measuring toolsBlueprint and inspection documentationMaterials You’ll Work WithAluminumStainless SteelAlloy SteelAerospace-grade metalsWhat We’re Looking ForRequired3+ years of precision deburring experience in a machine shop environmentExperience using microscopes or scopes for internal hole deburringStrong understanding of rotary and manual deburring toolsAbility to read and interpret blueprintsExperience inspecting parts to specificationAbility to work independently while maintaining quality standardsHigh school diploma or equivalentPreferred (Not Required)Aerospace or defense manufacturing experienceFamiliarity with tight-tolerance aerospace componentsExperience working in ITAR-controlled environmentsWhy Machinists Like Working HereMachinists choose Crane Aerospace & Electronics because:Clean, organized aerospace manufacturing environmentStable production supporting commercial and defense aviationModern equipment and high-quality toolingCompetitive pay and strong benefits packageOpportunities to grow within aerospace manufacturingCrane components help keep aircraft operating safely around the world — and this role plays a direct part in that mission.Pay, Benefits & SchedulePay Range:$28.00 – $42.00/hr (DOE) - 2% differential 2nd shiftBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insuranceLife and disability insurance401(k) with company match15 days PTO starting your first day12 paid holidays per yearEducation reimbursement after 6 monthsScheduleMonday–Friday1st or 2nd ShiftOvertime available as needed
