Shipping Manager

About Us Caf Spice is a growing, multi-site food manufacturer producing ready-to-eat meals for national retail and foodservice customers. We are seeking a Logistics Manager to coordinate all inbound and outbound transportation for our food manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for scheduling deliveries, coordinating carriers, and ensuring on-time shipments of raw materials and finished goods. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Shipping Manager to oversee outbound logistics operations in a fast-paced food manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, on-time shipments while maintaining compliance with food safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Manage daily shipping operations (picking, staging, loading, dispatch) Ensure on-time and accurate order fulfillment Coordinate with production, warehouse, and customer service teams Schedule carriers and manage freight logistics Work with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to ensure efficient distribution Utilize barcode scanning systems to ensure accuracy in picking and shipping Leverage TMS (Transportation Management Systems) for routing, tracking, and freight optimization Maintain compliance with GMP, HACCP, and SQF standards Ensure proper handling of temperature-sensitive products Oversee inventory accuracy and FIFO/FEFO processes Supervise, train, and schedule shipping staff Track KPIs (on-time shipping, order accuracy, shipping costs) Maintain shipping documentation (BOLs, lot tracking, traceability) Qualifications 35+ years of shipping/logistics experience 2+ years of supervisory experience Experience in manufacturing (food industry preferred) Experience with barcode scanning systems and WMS/ERP platforms Experience working with 3PLs and external carriers Experience using TMS systems for shipment planning and tracking Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, or SQF standards Why Join Caf Spice Competitive compensation and benefits 401(k) with company participation Paid time off and holiday pay Stable, growing food manufacturing company Opportunities for career growth and advancement Team-oriented work environment Fast-paced and dynamic production facility Compensation details: 87000-105000 Yearly Salary PI4bc7df01a5be-26289-40149212
