Position Type: Facilities/Grounds & Distribution Date Posted: 3/11/2026 Location: FPS Operations Center Date Available: 04/21/2026 Closing Date: Until Filled Job Type Full time Benefits Eligibility Benefits Eligible Schedule 12-months Monday through Friday Salary Range Group 6 from $21.32 to $26.78 per hour Position Summary: The Warehouse Clerk / Nutrition Services Delivery Driver supports both district warehouse operations and Nutrition Services distribution. While school is in session, the employee will spend approximately five hours each day supporting Nutrition Services delivery operations and three hours performing warehouse duties. During summer break, winter break, non-school days, or in the event of an unforeseeable warehouse staffing shortage, the employee will spend 100% of the workday performing warehouse duties. Overall, during a 12-month period this position will spend 55% of their time performing warehouse duties and 45% of their time performing nutrition services delivery operations. This position will report first to the Lead Warehouse Clerk, then to the Lead Nutrition Services Delivery Driver. Responsibilities: 1. Nutrition Services Delivery and Support Priority: Essential Percent of Time: 60% (School Year) Examples of this work include: Maintain effective communication with supervisors, colleagues, and school staff to ensure deliveries meet district needs. Operate a large cube van proficiently, ensuring safe transportation of food, mail, and supplies. Safely back up the cube van using door mirrors, avoiding damage to vehicles or property. Deliver goods according to established schedules, ensuring timely completion. Securely load and unload items following safety protocols. Assist with loading trucks at the Central Kitchen/Warehouse. Unload deliveries at school sites and ensure proper placement of goods. Regularly inspect assigned vehicles and maintain cleanliness and order. Report mechanical issues promptly and request necessary repairs by submitting a service request. Assist with basic building and equipment maintenance tasks as assigned. 2. Warehouse Operations Priority: Essential Percent of Time: 40% (School Year) / 100% (Non-School Days or Warehouse Staffing Shortage) Examples of this work include: Receive, inspect, count, weigh, or measure incoming shipments and verify against purchase orders, invoices, and bills of lading. Report shortages or discrepancies to the Lead Warehouse Clerk or Grounds and Logistics Manager. Store goods safely and maintain an organized warehouse to ensure accessibility and loss control. Maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile physical counts with system records. Assist with physical inventory counts as assigned. Fill warehouse requisitions promptly and accurately. Process inbound and outbound packages, including returns to vendors. Prepare shipments for district locations, ensuring proper packaging and documentation. Operate and maintain warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and straddle trucks. Adhere to the district's Hazard Communication Program. Assist other departments as needed to ensure uninterrupted district operations. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Valid driver's license; must maintain insurability with the District's insurance carrier. Ability to demonstrate forklift/powered equipment operational proficiency. Ability to read and interpret safety manuals and procedural documents. Basic mathematical and inventory skills. Ability to safely operate delivery vehicles and warehouse equipment. Intermediate proficiency in relevant computer applications including Microsoft Word, outlook, and excel. Preferred Qualifications: Three years of experience in delivery, shipping/receiving, or warehouse operations. Experience driving and backing a large cube van using mirrors only. This position reports to: Lead Warehouse Clerk, Lead Nutrition Services Delivery Driver (regarding nutrition services issues) or Grounds and Logistics Manager Internal and External Clientele and Purpose of Contact Effective communication with staff, faculty, administrators, warehouse personnel, and vendors is essential. The employee must maintain a professional demeanor while coordinating deliveries, resolving discrepancies, and adapting to schedule changes caused by school activities or operational demands. Problem Solving Safely operating delivery vehicles in adverse weather. Resolving delivery schedule conflicts. Troubleshooting inventory discrepancies. Managing competing delivery and warehouse priorities. Failure to perform duties accurately may result in delivery delays, inventory loss, or disruption of district operations. The employee responds to day-to-day operational needs, adjusts priorities based on workload demands, and makes low- to medium-risk decisions independently. High-risk or non-routine matters are referred to supervisory staff. All employees must comply with department, district, local, state, and federal policies and regulations.
