Purpose / General Description: We are seeking a Material Handler to Perform material handling and inventory control functions as needed to ensure all customers are provided on-time, accurate and coordinated product processing. What We Offer: Competitive compensation with bonus potential Medical, Dental & Vision plans 100% company paid medical premiums for you and your family Life Insurance 401k with company match Generous PTO & Paid holidays Maternity & Paternity Leave Short- and Long-term disability Employee assistance programs & More Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Consistently practice safe work habits and abide by all safety policies and guidelines Consistently execute and maintain the Kanban process Keep all inventory locations organized, identified and clean Monitor and manage overflow inventory (consume all excess before ordering) Process purchase order requisitions for outside processing and finishing Load and unload trucks and process documents (Bill of Ladings, receiving paperwork, etc.) Attend daily meetings and assist production areas maintaining line side inventories When processing received items, visually inspect parts for defects prior to processing Maintain housekeeping, safety, stock organization & user maintenance of all equipment Ensure all scrap and other waste streams in the facility (trash, scrap metals, pallets, wood, etc.) are processed correctly and managed on a timely basis Train lesser experienced employees in the area Minimum Requirements: Knowledge of Company specific shipping software preferred or ability to learn company specific software Experience with ERP/MRP operating systems Forklift operator (All types of material handling equipment in the facility) Demonstrated ability to work in a team and actively contribute to the success of the team Good communication and organization skills supported by a positive attitude Able to lift 30 pounds High School Diploma (Associates Degree / Certificate is a plus) 3 years' experience in material handling and inventory control. (Barcode experience is a plus) Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Excel, Word, Email. Forklift Operator Certification or experience
