Job Description: PURPOSE OF JOB: To perform all Housekeeping and Housekeeping related duties necessary to provide a safe, clean, and aesthetic environment for customers, visitors, and associates of Doylestown Hospital. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Follows the 7 step cleaning process for all assigned areas Removes & disposes of different waste streams according to hospital policy. Exhibits excellent customer service skills to enhance the patient & staff experience Identifies and reports broken or faulty equipment, safety hazards and patient safety risks. Actively participates in Departmental meetings, in-services, required training, competency assessment and takes corrective action to improve performance. Consistently follows Infection Prevention guidelines to minimize the risk of cross contamination and reduce the spread of infection Job Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Able to read, write and communicate fluently in the English language. Experience: Environmental Services or other hospitality related experience preferred. Other Skills: Able to competently perform the following: Knowledge of cleaning methods, products, equipment and of waste disposal and soiled linen handling procedures Knowledge of proper body mechanics Have the ability to wok independently
