Job Title: Forklift OperatorJob DescriptionThe Forklift Operator safely operates industrial trucks, including sit-down and stand-up forklifts and reach trucks, to load, unload, transport, and stack goods in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment that supports data center operations. This role focuses on safe material handling, accurate inventory movement, and timely preparation of orders for shipping while following established safety and operational procedures.Responsibilities Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts and reach trucks to safely load, unload, move, and stack materials within the facility. Perform daily safety checks and inspections on forklifts and other material handling equipment before use. Handle materials and products with care to prevent damage while transporting and stacking goods. Support inventory management by accurately moving, staging, and organizing products in designated storage locations. Prepare orders for shipping by picking, staging, and loading materials according to instructions and documentation. Follow all warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution center safety protocols and standard operating procedures. Complete a forklift skills test within the first few days on site to demonstrate safe and proficient equipment operation. Work effectively within a 3PL warehouse environment that supports data center operations, ensuring timely and accurate material flow. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe and efficient operations. Communicate with team members and leadership to coordinate material movement and resolve any issues related to orders or inventory. Essential Skills Proven ability to safely operate sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, and reach trucks in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment. Experience performing safety checks and routine inspections on forklifts and other industrial trucks. Material handling experience, including loading, unloading, transporting, and stacking goods. Ability to prepare orders for shipping by accurately picking, staging, and loading materials. Capability to work effectively in a 3PL warehouse environment supporting data center operations. Willingness and ability to successfully complete a forklift test within the first 1–2 days on site. Strong attention to safety procedures and adherence to operational guidelines. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience working in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution setting. Familiarity with inventory handling and basic warehouse documentation. Comfort working with different types of industrial trucks and adapting to various storage layouts. Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and support efficient workflow. The facility operates multiple shifts to support 24/7-style coverage. Available schedules include a first shift Monday through Friday from early morning to mid-afternoon, a second shift Monday through Friday from afternoon to evening, and a third shift Monday through Friday overnight. Weekend day and night shifts are also available from Friday through Sunday on extended 12-hour schedules. The environment involves working around industrial trucks, racking, and stored materials, requiring consistent attention to safety procedures and equipment operation. Work is performed indoors within a warehouse setting, with collaborative interaction among team members across different shifts.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lockbourne, OH.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.75/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
