Dental Hygienist - Greater Austin, TX $55/hr + Benefits

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our team at a mission-driven Federally Qualified Health Center in the Greater Austin, TX Area. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering preventive and therapeutic dental care to a diverse and underserved patient population, while promoting oral health education and disease prevention. Key Responsibilities: Perform dental cleanings, periodontal assessments, scaling and root planing, and preventive treatments Take and review dental radiographs (X-rays) Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and disease prevention Assist dentists with exams and treatment planning as needed Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system Follow infection control protocols and ensure compliance with all safety standards Support community outreach and oral health education initiatives Qualifications: Associate s or Bachelor s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program Active Texas Registered Dental Hygienist license (or ability to obtain prior to start) Current CPR/BLS certification Strong commitment to serving underserved and diverse populations Excellent communication and patient education skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required Compensation & Benefits: Competitive hourly rate or salary, starting at $55/hr (based on experience) Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plan Generous paid time off and paid holidays Continuing education allowance and support for professional development Malpractice coverage under the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) Work Environment: Modern, well-equipped clinic with strong clinical support staff Collaborative, team-based care model Monday Friday schedule with no evenings or weekends Why Join Us?
