Job Details / Anesthesia Job Summary Position Type: Locum tenens (contract) - CRNA jobs / locum tenens nursing Location: Midlothian, VA 23114 (Richmond area) - Virginia CRNA jobs, anesthesia jobs in Virginia Start Date: ASAP End Date: 12/31/2026 Openings: 5 Hours per Week: 32 Shifts per Week: 2 Shift Duration: Mix of 10-hour and 12-hour shifts Call: No in-house call; no weeknight/weekend pager call Overtime: Not expected Charting System: Epic (EMR) - Epic EMR experience preferred Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $5,220-$5,500 Job Requirements / Qualifications Experience: No minimum years of CRNA experience required (new graduates welcome; locum tenens CRNA experience preferred) Licensure: Current RN license required (candidates willing/able to obtain Virginia RN licensure are welcome); state RN/CRNA licensure per VA requirements Education: Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program Certification: Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA certification) Clinical competencies in general anesthesia and specialty case management (ortho, OB, endo, vascular, ENT, urology, robotics) Comfort working in a supervised CRNA:MD model (CRNA:MD ratio 4:1) Responsibilities - CRNA Duties (General Anesthesia & Specialty Cases) Perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments and develop individualized anesthesia care plans for surgical and procedural patients Obtain and verify informed consent; discuss anesthetic options, risks, and perioperative plans with patients and families Provide induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia across a diverse case mix: General, Orthopedics, OB, Endoscopy, EP/Cath lab, MRI, Vascular, ENT, Plastics, Urology, Da Vinci robotic cases Continuously monitor physiological status and provide intraoperative interventions as needed to ensure patient safety Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative teams to optimize patient outcomes in a team-based environment Document anesthesia care accurately in Epic and participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives Benefits & Compensation Highlights Competitive weekly pay: $5,220-$5,500 Daily lodging/housing stipend: $110 Car rental / mileage stipend: $250 weekly No in-house call or night/weekend pager call - work/life balance for locum tenens CRNAs Opportunity to work with a supportive anesthesia team and varied case mix - strong professional development for CRNA careers Why Midlothian, VA?
