Overview Job Description: QA Tester (Azure DevOps / Mainframe / Medicaid MES) Workplace Type: Hybrid (Richmond, VA – 2–3 days onsite weekly) Duration: 2 Years Employment Type: Contract The agency recently awarded its Fiscal Agent Services (FAS) contract—part of the broader Medicaid Enterprise Services (MES) ecosystem—to its incumbent vendor. As it transitions core claims and financial modules from a legacy mainframe environment to a modern Microsoft Azure cloud platform, the organization requires highly skilled Senior QA Testers to support this large-scale modernization effort. These testers will collaborate across multiple vendors, validate vendor-delivered testing, and ensure seamless system integration between mainframe systems and Azure-based solutions. This role requires deep experience in mainframe QA, Azure DevOps Test Management, and multi‑vendor defect coordination. Key Responsibilities Develop, review, and execute test cases based on vendor requirements and system specifications. Perform System Integration Testing (SIT) and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across mainframe and Azure-based systems. Validate vendor-delivered testing results and ensure compliance with DMAS quality standards. Manage and track defects across multiple vendors, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication. Utilize Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO) for test planning, execution, and reporting. Collaborate closely with internal DMAS teams, Conduent, and other MES vendors to ensure alignment and transparency. Support the migration of legacy mainframe functionality to the Azure cloud environment. Required Skills & Experience 10+ years of QA Testing experience, with a strong focus on mainframe testing. Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps Test Management and Azure Test Plans. Proven background in System Integration Testing (SIT) and UAT involving mainframe-to-cloud integrations. Strong experience with multi‑vendor defect management in complex enterprise environments. Familiarity with Medicaid systems, MES modules, or healthcare claims processing is highly preferred. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in large vendor ecosystems. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $58.00 - $64.00/hr.
