Assembly Associate Join a growing manufacturing team that produces quick fluid connectors for domestic and international automotive companies. In this entry-level role, you will work either in a cleanroom as an assembler or in the molding area as a bagger/tagger, depending on production needs. You will handle very small components, perform highly repetitive tasks, and contribute directly to meeting daily production goals in a clean, modern, and temperature-controlled facility. Responsibilities Assemble small fluid connector components in a cleanroom environment according to established procedures and quality standards. Work in the molding section as a bagger/tagger by packaging and labeling parts accurately based on production requirements. Handle very small parts, including components as small as a pen cap, with a high level of precision and attention to detail. Perform highly repetitive tasks while standing or sitting for the entire duration of the shift. Meet or exceed daily production goals by working efficiently and maintaining consistent output. Follow all cleanroom protocols, including wearing a gown, hairnet, and eye protection when required. Comply with safety and facility rules, including restrictions on acrylic nails, false eyelashes, rings, and cell phones on the production floor. Operate basic production and assembly equipment as needed, following training and safety guidelines. Inspect parts and finished products for quality, identifying and reporting any defects or irregularities. Collaborate with a peer mentor during initial training to learn processes, standards, and best practices until able to work independently. Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and housekeeping expectations. Demonstrate reliable attendance, punctuality, and a positive, coachable attitude in a fast-paced production environment. Essential Skills Minimum one year of general manufacturing or production experience, with a demonstrated ability to meet daily production goals. Experience handling small components with care, precision, and consistency. Ability to perform highly repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and quality throughout the shift. Ability to stand or sit for the entire duration of an 8-hour shift, depending on assignment. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate assembly, packaging, and inspection of small parts. Reliable attendance and punctuality, with a strong sense of responsibility and work ethic. Positive, coachable attitude with openness to feedback and willingness to follow established procedures. High school diploma or GED. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous cleanroom experience, including following gowning and contamination-control procedures. Forklift experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Experience handling automotive components or working in an automotive manufacturing setting. Basic machine operation or machine operating experience in a production environment. General labor, packaging, and inspection experience in a manufacturing setting. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a brand-new, extremely clean, and temperature-controlled manufacturing facility maintained at approximately 70 degrees year-round. Depending on production needs, you may work in a cleanroom or molding area. In the cleanroom, you must wear a gown, hairnet, and eye protection, and you must follow strict guidelines that prohibit acrylic nails, false eyelashes, and rings to maintain product and process integrity. Cell phones are strictly prohibited on the production floor. Shifts operate on a standard 1st (7:00 a.m.3:00 p.m.), 2nd (3:00 p.m.11:00 p.m.), and 3rd (11:00 p.m.7:00 a.m.) schedule, with minimal overtime. While on contract, you receive a 30-minute unpaid lunch and two paid 15-minute breaks per shift; once hired directly, the lunch period becomes paid. Work involves standing or sitting for the full shift and performing highly repetitive tasks with small components in a structured, production-driven environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester Hills, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $17.00/hr.
