Now Hiring Forklift Operator in New Freedom, PA First Shift Opportunity Pay: $19/hour Join a dedicated team in the wellness industry, where you'll be integral to the assembly and preparation of tables and beds used in various health sectors, including doctor offices, hospitals, and beauty parlors. Currently, there is an opportunity for a 1st shift material handler/forklift operator. Responsibilities Operate various warehouse handling equipment, including forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and large roller ladders. Use the OW ERP system to research POs, inventory items, and manage inventory by location. Receive shipments, verify package quantities against BOL, and apply product identification labels. Move and store inspection and medical items appropriately. Deliver items to the production floor as required. Maintain punctual attendance and adhere to company rules, policies, and safety procedures. Demonstrate professional behavior, integrity, and a strong work ethic. Perform general maintenance on machinery and minor repairs on equipment. Communicate effectively with multiple departments and provide suggestions to improve quality and efficiency. Essential Skills High School Diploma or equivalent. Prior forklift certification. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Proficient verbal and written communication skills. Proficient organizational and time management skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications 2 years of work experience in manufacturing preferred. Understanding of traditional manufacturing processes with machining and fabricating experience. Ability to interpret detailed schematics or drawings, with blueprint experience being ideal. Work Environment The work environment is clean, with specific areas designated for woodworking to minimize dust. The assembly and shipping areas are not very loud. The position requires the ability to work in a hot and cold environment with seasonally changing temperatures and involves physical activities such as lifting, reaching, and bending. Regular hours are Monday through Thursday, 5:30 am to 4:00 pm, with potential for overtime. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Freedom, PA.
