Registered Nurse (RN) - Hospice - PRN - Omaha, NE Tabitha Home Health Care and Hospice, LLC | A Collaboration with Immanuel is seeking a compassionate and skilled PRN Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to support our Omaha hospice team. This PRN role offers true flexibility – pick up day shifts or weekend shifts based on your availability. A great fit for nurses who want meaningful work with the freedom to choose when they serve. As a Hospice RN, you’ll provide supportive, holistic care to clients and families, helping ensure comfort, dignity, and compassion at every stage of the hospice journey. Essential Functions Completes an initial, comprehensive and ongoing assessment of senior/client and family to determine hospice needs. Provides a complete physical assessment and history of current and previous illness(es). Provides professional nursing care by utilizing all elements of the nursing process and as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act. Assesses and evaluates senior/client status by: Writing and initiating a plan of care that establishes goals, based on nursing diagnosis and incorporates palliative nursing actions. Regularly re‑evaluating senior/client and family/caregiver needs. Participating in revising the plan of care as necessary, including the senior/client and the family in the planning process. Uses health assessment data to determine nursing diagnosis. Initiates appropriate preventative and rehabilitative nursing procedures. Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician in the physician’s plan of care. Provides health‑care instructions to the senior/client as appropriate per assessment and plan. Assists the senior/client with activities of daily living and facilitates the senior/client’s efforts toward self‑sufficiency and opt‑in comfort care. Acts as Case Manager when assigned by the Patient Care Coordinator and assumes responsibility to coordinate senior/client care for the assigned caseload. Completes, maintains and submits accurate and relevant clinical notes regarding senior/client condition and care provided. Records pain/symptom‑management changes/outcomes as appropriate. Communicates with the physician regarding the senior/client’s needs and reports changes in senior/client condition; obtains/receives physician orders as required. Ideal Candidate AGE REQUIREMENT : At least age 18. EDUCATION : Successful completion of a Registered Nurse course of study. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred. EXPERIENCE : Two years of acute care/long‑term care nursing experience within the last five years required; experience in community health and/or hospice preferred. CREDENTIALS : RN license in good standing as recorded on the Nebraska State Registry or another Nurse Compact state. CPR required and must be kept up to date at the expense of the employee. Valid Nebraska driver’s license (unless otherwise allowed by law) and a good driving record required. Must possess auto insurance at or above Nebraska statutory requirements. Must meet Tabitha’s vaccination requirements. Compensation At Eventide | Tabitha, we offer a competitive starting pay range of $36.00–$40.32 per hour for RNs based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are available for select positions, paid on employment status and shift worked.
