Gift Shop Attendant

Description:Retail merchandising skills needed to keep floor displays fresh and inviting; shelves in stockroom in an orderly manner. Will train and work with volunteers to provides top-notch customer, volunteer and employee engagement. Will be working with Point of Sale system as cashier when volunteers are not available. Will be scheduling volunteers and calling in substitutes as needed. Education: ▪ Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience: ▪ Preferred: 1-2 years related experience Skills: ▪ Able to be self-motivated and complete work tasks efficiently, in a timely manner ▪ Organized and neat ▪ Able to work with a large quantity of volunteers with differing personalities while maintaining a caring manner and professional demeanor. ▪ Numerical ability to calculate prices, discounts and other factors relating to retail merchandising. ▪ Computer skills to run cash register, credit cards machines, and other types of office equipment. ▪ Retail merchandising skills needed to keep floor displays fresh and inviting; shelves in stockroom in an orderly manner. ▪ Professional demeanor to work with customers and volunteers on the floor and telephone.
