Required Skills: Current NY State Nurse Practitioner licenseMinimum of 2 years recent clinical experience in a surgical settingCertification in BLS, ACLS, and ATLS from the American Heart AssociationProficiency in wound cauterization, vessel management, suturing, and wound closure techniquesStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to collaborate effectively with healthcare teamsExperience assisting with surgical procedures, including hemostasis and patient positioningNice to Have Skills: Robotics surgical experiencePrior experience with EPIC charting systemKnowledge of medical and surgical floor coverage beyond OR assistanceExperience working with General Surgery, OB-GYN, or Orthopedic patientsPreferred Education and Experience: Certified Nurse Practitioner with active NY state licensureAt least two years of recent surgical or hospital-based practice, ideally in high-acuity environmentsHands-on experience in surgical first assist rolesOther Requirements: Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and call coverageAbility to follow strict dress code and safety protocolsCommitment to maintaining professional appearance and hygiene standardsNo artificial fingernails; natural nails shorter than inch with conservative polishTattoos must be discreet; facial and tongue piercings not allowed during shiftsCell phone use not permitted during patient care shiftsValid malpractice statement if applicableThis position offers an hourly pay rate of $131.32.
