Description Cient is a large global systems integrator. Their AV team is expanding. They believe there is enough work to support 2 additional roles with similar backgrounds to the AV Engineers we have placed in the past. They need this candidate to be based in the Bay Area in California. s end clients are companies like fortunte 500 clients. Travel- 50% Travel: Preferably someone willing to travel throughout the US. Travel will be covered by Client. This person needs to know AV from a design, BOM, and implementation perspective but also be have onsite install experience. This person will have to have AV experience regarding setting up conference rooms vs an AV engineer setting up AV for online or tv broadcasting ResponsibilitiesImplementing audio-visual systems tailored to client needsPerforming installation and setup of AV equipment such as projectors, sound systems, and video conferencing toolsConducting troubleshooting of AV systemsConfiguring and calibrating AV equipment to ensure optimal performanceProviding technical support and training for users on AV system operationCollaborating with network engineers to integrate AV systems into network infrastructureManaging and documenting inventory of equipment and accessoriesStaying up-to-date with the latest AV technologies and industry trendsUnderstanding detailed system installation diagrams and technical drawings/documentationEnsuring compliance with industry standards and regulations Duties Design and Documentation ExpertiseProficient in reviewing architectural, MEP, and AV schematics and construction drawingsSkilled at identifying design conflicts, integration issues, and coordination gapsAble to provide detailed technical recommendations and value-engineering solutionsFamiliar with UK building regulations and standards affecting AV installations Testing, Calibration, and AnalysisExperienced in acoustic analysis including STC, RT60, and ambient noise measurementsSkilled in calibrating DSPs, equalizers, speaker arrays, and microphones for audio clarityCapable of testing and adjusting lighting systems for coverage, uniformity, and DALI/DMX protocolsProficient in evaluating AV scenarios to optimize performance and user experience Cabling and Installation MasteryAdvanced knowledge of structured cabling for: o Network/Data (Cat6, Cat6a, Fibre) o Video (HDMI, SDI, DisplayPort, HDBaseT) o Audio (Analog, AES/EBU, Dante, XLR) o Electrical (Low-voltage and AV power circuits)Skilled in compliant cable routing, containment installation, and patchingAdheres to BS 7671 and UK standards for safe and high-quality wiring practices Systems Integration and CommissioningExperienced in configuring and integrating AV control systems (Crestron, Extron, QSC, etc.)Able to install and commission conferencing systems, projectors, displays, and audio processorsConducts rigorous system testing, diagnostics, and performance verificationDelivers comprehensive handovers including documentation, client training, and snag resolution Advanced AV Application KnowledgeExpert in AV-over-IP deployments (e.g., Dante, NDI, SDVoE)Familiar with AV software platforms and remote monitoring toolsSkilled in interfacing AV systems with building automation and IT networks Skills Audiovisual, Cabling, CTS, Audio Top Skills Details Audiovisual,Cabling,CTS Additional Skills & Qualifications Open to 50% Travel.
