Job Title: Tool SetterDepartment: ProductionReports To: Process ManagerFLSA Status: Non-ExemptJob SummaryResponsible for the installation and removal of production-related tooling on all Aoki Injection Stretch Blow, Jomar & Uniloy IBM Machines, along with any auxiliary equipment. Pay Range: $21 to $24 per hour, depending on experienceDuties and ResponsibilitiesAoki Injection Stretch Blow MachinesTooling to be installed and removed: Injection Cavities and Hot Runner Manifold; Thread Slides and Gibbs; Injection Cores and Water Manifolds; Blow Molds & Push-ups; Blow Cores with Stretch Rod and Tips; Eject Station Install injection cavities and hot runner manifold into the machine. Connect plugs for manifold heaters and thermocouples in correct location on the machine and turn on power to begin heating the hot runner. Install thread slides and holding gibbs. Install injection cores and water manifolds. Attach color coded water lines to the injection cavities and cores; turn on water and check for leaks. Install blow cores, stretch rods and tips. Attach air lines from the air manifold to Blow Cores. Install blow molds and push-ups; check parting line seams and tighten. Install ejection station Set lower table stack height. Check gap between blow mold strikers and thread slides. Set stretch rod gap. Dry-cycle the machine before handing it over to processing. Jomar & Uniloy IBM MachinesTooling to be installed and removed: Parison Mold with Injection Manifold; Blow Mold; Trigger & Face Bars; Core Rods: Stripper Bar Install parison and blow molds on the main table of the machine. Close both parison and blow platens on top of the molds. Install correct side clamps and bolts on top of molds then open. Connect plugs for manifold heaters and thermocouples in correct location on the machine and turn on power to begin heating the manifold. Connect water lines to all zones on the parison & blow mold. Turn on water units insure they heat up properly and check for leaks. Install trigger bars, face bars and core rods. Set core rod detector. Check gap behind core rods to insure molds are shimmed properly. Dry-cycle machine before handing over to processing. Responsible for conducting him/herself in a safe manner and adhering to all required safety protocols and policies. Required to wear PPE properly in accordance with company standards. Keep the area around your workstation clean and free from dirt and debris; this may include cleaning assigned areas of the building or pieces of equipment as instructed by your Supervisor. Must be able to work assigned shifts, including working overtime and attending after hour meetings as needed. May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned. Food Safety Responsibilities Monitor and verify activities to ensure that all tooling coming in and out of the facility meet food safety standards in addition to quality standards. Comply with all company food safety and quality assurance procedures and document data correctly at all times. Report any product or process failures that could impact food safety of manufactured product to supervision and Quality.
