As part of our Logistics Team, you'll support multiple Palermo's sites within the Milwaukee area.What You'll Do...Complete local pickups and deliveries of raw materials and finished goodsTransfer product between Palermo's facilitiesSafely and efficiently execute dispatch assignments, reporting delays or issuesOccasionally spot trailers as neededMaintain accurate DOT logs and comply with all safety regulationsPerform routine equipment cleanliness and basic maintenance checksBuild strong working relationships with production, warehouse, and logistics teamsSupport company policies, including expectations for people and food safetyWhy You'll Be Successful...You practice safe, compliant, and professional drivingYou're reliable, punctual, and committed to doing quality workYou communicate well with dispatch, logistics, and operations partnersYou adapt smoothly to shifting priorities or unexpected delaysYou manage time efficiently to keep routes running on scheduleWhat You Bring...EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredExperienceRefrigerated transportation experience preferredComputer SkillsBasic experience with ELDs, mobile apps, email, and communication toolsAbility to use handheld scanners or tablets for load verificationLicenses & CertificationsValid Class A CDL requiredOther RequirementsAbility to lift/move up to 50 poundsAbility to climb in/out of trucks and trailersComfort working in outdoor temperatures and refrigerated environmentsPhysical EnvironmentThis is a local-only driving role-you'll be home every day. Work includes extended periods of sitting while driving, frequent climbing into/out of cabs and trailers, and exposure to outdoor conditions and cold storage. PPE such as safety shoes and high-visibility apparel may be required.
