Innovative - Providing solutions and critical thinking, with an innovative approach.Description:The Fleet & Equipment Manager is responsible for the strategic oversight, operational management, and compliance of all company vehicles and field equipment across Triage Partners' three operating entities. This role is critical to supporting 400+ field technicians deployed across 21 states and ensuring the reliability, availability, and cost efficiency of a growing fleet. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in fleet operations, asset lifecycle management, and vendor negotiation, and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.Responsibilities:Fleet Operations & ComplianceManage day-to-day operations of the consolidated vehicle fleet across Triage Partners family of companiesEnsure all vehicles are properly licensed, registered, insured, and DOT-compliant across all operating statesMaintain fleet management software in NetSuite ERP and ensure accurate, real-time records of all assetsCoordinate vehicle assignments, rotations, and reallocation across operating entities and geographiesOversee GPS/telematics systems and monitor utilization, idle time, and driver behavior metricsLiaison point of contact with third-party leasing management companiesOnboard newly acquired assets when acquired companies are added to our platformMaintenance & Asset LifecycleDevelop and manage preventive maintenance schedules to maximize uptime and minimize unplanned downtimeOversee vendor relationships with repair shops, dealers, and service providers across the operating footprintTrack and manage vehicle and equipment lifecycle from acquisition through disposal or saleManage equipment inventory, including fiber/FTTH tools, trailers, and specialty construction equipmentCoordinate warranty claims, recalls, and third-party service escalationsProcurement & Cost ManagementLead fleet procurement strategy including new vehicle sourcing, lease vs. buy analysis, and trade-in/remarketingNegotiate vendor contracts for fuel, maintenance, parts, and leasing programsDevelop and manage the annual fleet and equipment budget, report monthly on actuals vs. budgetIdentify and implement cost reduction opportunities across the fleet (fuel cards, bulk purchasing, etc.)Support insurance evaluation and claims data analysis for commercial auto linesSafety & RiskPartner with HR and field operations to develop and enforce driver safety policies and training programsManage incident reporting for vehicle accidents and coordinate with insurance and legal as neededConduct periodic audits of fleet records, maintenance logs, and driver qualificationsEnsure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and applicable state-level transportation regulationsCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with the VP of Field Services, HR, Finance, auto maintenance staff, and IT to align fleet strategy with operational needsSupport ERP implementation efforts by defining fleet/asset data requirements and workflowsProvide reporting and analytics to Finance on fleet costs, depreciation, and capital planningCollaborate with field managers across Triage, Benton, and JCS on equipment needs and deployment planningQualifications:Required• 3+ years of fleet management experience, preferably in field services, utilities, telecom, or construction• Demonstrated experience managing a fleet of 100+ vehicles across multiple locations• Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA compliance requirements• Experience with fleet management software (e.g., Samsara or similar)• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and fleet cost reporting• Proven vendor negotiation and contract management skills• Experience with budget management and cost analysis• Ability to travel periodically to field operations in key markets (CA, TX, FL, OK, CO, MN, KS, etc.)Preferred• Experience supporting a PE-backed or high-growth company through rapid scaling, including fleet and equipment onboarding in M&A integration scenarios• Familiarity with ERP systems and asset management modules• Background in captive insurance or commercial auto claims management• Experience managing both light-duty and heavy-duty/specialty construction equipment• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field(s)Perks of Working at Triage: Comprehensive benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and life 401K with Company Match Medical and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Paid Sick Time Holiday Pay Unlimited PTO Referral Program Career advancement opportunities Continuous training and personal development opportunities A quality Employee Recognition ProgramEmployment with Triage Partners, LLC is contingent upon successful completion of our background check and drug screen process.
