Job DescriptionTitle: Route DriverClassification/Job Grade: DailyLocation: Clarksville, MIDepartment: DistributionSupervised by: Supervisor Job Summary: Prairie Farms Dairy, Battle Creek operates as a dairy manufacturing plant and distribution center that covers the whole state of MI and some of the surrounding states. We make dairy products that are then distributed to retail outlets, warehouses, hospitals, correctional facilities, retirement homes, food service warehouses, schools and colleges throughout Michigan. We are looking for strong customer service, self-motivated, career minded individuals to join our Clarksville, MI Distribution TEAM. This position will allow you to be home every night!This position pays $26.00 an hourEssential Duties and Responsibilities Load and unload Dairy products for customer deliveryDrive semi-truck or straight truck to assigned customers on routePush, pull or lift product from cases, pallets or bossiesPerform daily safety checks of vehicle and maintain a clean environmentWork within safety and regulatory company policiesKeep customers and truck inventory properly rotated and in stock at all timesBuild strong customer relationshipsFollow DOT requirementsFollows all company policies and procedures regarding GMPs, SOPs and Quality standardsEffectively utilize time available to achieve results through prioritizing demandsMaintains an air of professionalism and communicates effectivelyDemonstrates problem solving and decision-making ability, as neededMust demonstrate proficiency in essential tasks of the job and a willingness to learnOther duties as assigned or requiredCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: CDL Class A or BPhysical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
