This role cultivates proactive relationships with staff from their hire date through the first several months in their field assignment, ensuring they meet all launch requirements, receive appropriate care and resources, and transition smoothly into their ministry assignments. The Launch Coordinator works collaboratively across departments and with field leadership to send resilient staff who are ready to serve effectively and sustainably. This position reports to the Director of Launch and Next Gen Pathways.Position ResponsibilitiesJAARS staff preparing for overseas service are fully prepared, cleared, and launched in alignment with organizational standards and field expectations.This will be successfully performed when:Staff assigned to the Launch Coordinator maintain steady progress toward completing all required pre-field requirements.All assigned staff receive launch clearance only after required readiness indicators (training, funding, health, documentation, and departmental approvals) are completed.Potential barriers to launch are identified early and addressed through appropriate referrals, coordination, or intervention. Required documentation and progress tracking are maintained accurately and consistently within Launch Team systems.Staff serving in overseas assignments report arriving with the necessary preparation, resources, and approvals to begin their assignment.Relative Importance: 60%Staff preparing for overseas service experience proactive care, encouragement, and relational support that contribute to their resilience and readiness for ministry.This will be successfully performed when:Meaningful relationships are established and maintained with each assigned staff member throughout the prefield and early field transition period.Staff receive consistent encouragement, prayer, and communication during their preparation process.Staff concerns, stressors, or potential challenges are identified early and addressed through guidance, prayer, or referral to appropriate support resources.Staff report feeling supported, informed, and cared for throughout the launch preparation process.Relative Importance: 20%JAARS departments and field leadership collaborate effectively to ensure staff are prepared for their assignments and that field needs and expectations are met.This will be successfully performed when:Launch preparation is coordinated effectively with departments such as Training, HR, Health Services, and Aviation Training.Field HR teams are engaged early regarding potential staff assignments and remain informed throughout the launch process.Visa documentation, shipping coordination, and logistical preparation are facilitated in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.Information flows clearly between staff, departments, and field leadership, enabling smooth preparation and transition to field service. Relative Importance: 15%General Staff Functions This will be successfully performed when:Launch Team processes, workflows, and procedures are followed consistently, and all reports are submitted in an excellent and timely mannerRegular attendance occurs at all appropriate departmental and base staff meetingsContinual involvement in professional development activities is planned and occurringOrganizational values and professional standards are demonstrated in all responsibilities and interactions.Relative Importance: 5%Position RequirementsA deep and growing walk with the Lord Jesus that includes your personal spiritual growth and the ability to support others in their spiritual growthEmbrace the vision, mission, and core values of JAARSHaving cross-cultural experience or an equivalent combination of cross-cultural training and experience is preferred but not requiredCommunicates compassionately and empathetically, and can build trustWilling to work odd hours to be available to recently deployed staff.Strong Attention to DetailProficient in programs such as Google Workspace Ability to learn new software as needed
