As a Senior Baggage Handling Systems Engineer with Swanson Rink, this position will lead a team to provide analysis, design, and construction administration for baggage handling systems to airports nationwide. What Can We Offer You for All Your Hard Work? * The opportunity to work on complex, exciting projects for high profile clients * Focused training and professional development, mentorship, professional career growth opportunities * Paid professional membership fees, tuition reimbursement, prep and exam coverage for certifications and licenses * EcoPass/Commuter benefits (Denver) * Stock purchase plan * Company paid holidays, Paid Time Off, paid parental leave * Vision, dental and medical insurance with employer HSA contributions, FSA options * Monthly technology allowance * Traditional and Roth 401(k) with immediate vesting on matching contributions Your Job Responsibilities: * Lead the design of Baggage Handling Systems to include: * Calculations to determine the peak node throughput. * Adherence to BHS conveyor design requirements that meet TSA Program Guideline Design Standards (PGDS) and client/customer contractual design/performance requirements. * Product selection and layout of complete functioning systems and project throughput requirements. * Control systems design. * Cost estimating and Life Cycle Cost Analysis. * Testing and commissioning of completed systems to ensure compliance with TSA iSAT and client/customer requirements. * Lead design reviews and customer technical presentations/evaluations. * Provide continuous on-the-job training and mentoring to staff. Requirements Your Requirements and Qualifications: * A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering from an ABET accredited four-year college or university. * A minimum of 7 years' experience in design of aviation Checked Baggage Inspection Systems (CBIS). * Demonstrated supervisory/leaderships skills. * Registration as a Professional Engineer. * Must be able to successfully pass background checks, security screenings and drug testing as required by TSA, our clients and/or Federal contracts. * Must be available to travel occasionally. * Must be authorized to work in the United States. Salary range of $140,000 - $160,000 and will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
