What We Are Looking ForExperience and CapabilityProven experience managing fleet operations across multiple locationsStrong understanding of vehicle lifecycle management, maintenance programs, DOT compliance, and vendor coordinationWorking knowledge of IFTA reporting, IRP registration, and state/federal permitting requirementsAbility to manage fuel tax reporting, apportioned plates, and ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictionsAbility to review, understand, and discuss vendor contracts (leasing, maintenance, fuel, insurance) with leadershipComfortable communicating with executive leadership and providing clear recommendations backed by dataHands-On LeadershipWilling to be in the field working directly with drivers and operations teamsAble to troubleshoot issues in real time, whether mechanical, logistical, or administrativeNot afraid to step in and handle tasks personally when neededOperational Support and CommunicationWorks closely with Operations Managers and provides clear direction and supportPatient and able to guide teams through processes step by stepWilling to take on tasks directly when needed to ensure completion rather than relying on othersOrganization and Process ImprovementAble to assess the current state of fleet operations and quickly implement structureBuilds and maintains systems for tracking maintenance, repairs, fuel usage, mileage, and complianceEstablishes clear processes and expectations across all locationsBrings consistency and accountability to a currently unstructured environmentKey ResponsibilitiesOversee all fleet operations including maintenance, repairs, inspections, and complianceManage IFTA reporting, IRP registrations, and all required permits across operating statesEnsure accurate mileage tracking, fuel reporting, and audit readinessDevelop and implement standardized fleet processes across all locationsManage vendor relationships and service providersReview and manage fleet-related contracts and expensesCoordinate with insurance and claims as neededEnsure all vehicles are safe, compliant, and operationalMaintain accurate records and reporting for fleet performance and costsSupport operations teams and drivers with day-to-day fleet needs
